Bryce McKibben is the Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy at The Hope Center. Prior to joining Hope, he served for 7 years as Senior Policy Advisor for Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). In that role, he led the higher education portfolio, including issues of college affordability, financial aid eligibility, student debt, and consumer protection. Before joining the HELP Committee, Bryce was a Policy Analyst for the Association of Community College Trustees, and a Staff Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Labor.
Originally a student advocate, Bryce is the past President of the Washington Student Association and Director of Government Relations for the Associated Students of the University of Washington. Bryce holds a bachelor’s from the University of Washington and a master’s in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School. He is originally from Seattle, Washington, and currently resides in Washington, DC.
Bryce’s hope: Within our lifetimes we will realize a system of higher education that puts students first, closes equity gaps, and ends student debt as the primary mechanism of college financing.
