Bio: Diana Benitez is an undergraduate student at University of Florida. Originally from Greensboro, Florida, she joined the SLAC because she is very passionate about education and helping those with little to no resources to quality resources for their needs. She is hoping to gain better insight on how others advocate for marginalized students and how she can continue to help. Diana brings to the Council her lived experiences with food and housing insecurity in an impoverished neighborhood as well with the mental struggles that this bring. She also brings forward a commitment to helping youth get the education and resources they need regardless of their obstacles.
