Idrisa Abdul-Hamid is the Senior Director of Operations, People Development, and Culture of The Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice. Before joining The Hope Center, she was the Regional Operations Manager of 27 school districts in North Jersey managing human capital accountability solutions and district operations in recruiting, selection, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and finance. Idrisa’s prior 28 years of vast work experiences includes; public education at Houston Independent School District, financial investments and insurance at MetLife and New York Life, healthcare at Aetna, Inc, and business banking at Mellon/Citizens Bank. Additionally, she brings eleven years of experience in teaching adult learning principles in leadership coaching, organizational development, management development, and employee engagement strategies in both secondary and tertiary education. Idrisa’s research interest and focuses are in effective leadership, human resources management, and employee engagement strategies.

Idrisa is best known for her community work and attentiveness in helping people in need. She is a patient companion for two hospice organizations and a policy member for two mental health organizations advocating for human basic needs in care, protection, policy and changing public perception.

Idrisa holds a Doctorate from Walden University in Business Leadership, a MS in Global and International Education from Drexel University, and a BA in Business Administration from Temple University. She is also an Honors Inductee for The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and Civic and Business leadership graduate for The Center for Houston’s Future.

Idrisa’s hope: We will advocate for solution-based information by being a positive social change agent and maximizing impact for students’ basic needs.
