Bio: Liliana Menjivar Cruz is an undergraduate student at Dallas College. Originally from Dallas, Texas, she joined the SLAC because she wants to encourage future generations to follow their dreams and goals even if they believe it is not possible because of where they came from, she aspires to become an educator when she graduates in order to encourage teens that face the same struggles she did at their age. Liliana brings to the Council her lived experience as a first-generation college student and not fully understanding the education system due to having parents that migrated from El Salvador. She is committed to guiding multiple people through a memorable and successful educational experience.
