Bio: Marco Flores is an undergraduate business major student at Paul Quinn College. Originally from Michoacán, Mexico, he joined the SLAC because he hopes to share his experiences growing up, and bring to light the experiences and struggles of other students in order to help bring a change to the educational system. Marco brings to the Council his lived experiences being a 1.5 generation immigrant, witnessing limited learning opportunities in poorly funded school districts, becoming a DACA recipient, being a first-generation college student, and a commitment to being respectful of the opinions and realities of others.
