Bio: Nakwari Rodgers is an undergraduate student at Bowie State University. Originally from Denver, Colorado, she joined the SLAC because she wants to use her voice to address, discuss and gain new perspectives on different topics to make change. Nakwari Rodgers brings to the Council her lived experiences with parenting in college and a commitment for advocating for matters of social injustice (mass incarceration, police brutality and school to prison pipeline) and the needs of young student parents.
