Bio: Thamee Htwe is an undergraduate student at Amarillo College. Originally from Burma (Myanmar), she joined the SLAC because she wants to be the voice for students who are first generation college students, and for students who couldn’t afford to attend college due to financial instability. Thamee brings to the Council their lived experiences with not being able to afford housing, food, or attend college due to working full time — and a commitment to be the voice for students who are trying to succeed in their profession, no matter the circumstances.
