Ali Caccavella serves as a Senior Learning Specialist for The Hope Center for College Community and Justice. Before joining Hope, she was Vice President of Policy and Systems Change at uAspire, advancing student-centered financial aid policy across institutions and the federal government. Prior to that, she served as Director of Training and Partnerships to help launch a national training and technical assistance network of high schools and service nonprofits improving college access. Ali’s work experience has been entirely focused on educational equity through various roles including college advisor, public school teacher, and program leader.

Ali earned both a BA in Urban Studies and an MS Ed. in secondary education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ali’s hope: to advance policies and systems-change that support students’ prosperity beyond basic needs, and eradicate the impacts of race, class, and gender in educational outcomes.
